Mei dedicates herself to learning how to cook traditional Chinese recipes, but her Lao Lao is unhelpful and ends up collapsing just before Lunar New Year. Mei struggles to replicate Lao Lao’s biang biang noodles until she finally discovers the freedom and pleasure of cooking on her own.
